What We Do

Empowering Marginalized Communities

We provide targeted support to underserved populations, ensuring access to essential services like education, healthcare, nutrition, and WASH, while promoting resilience and social inclusion.

Advancing Human Rights and Gender Equality

We advocate for the protection and promotion of human rights, with a strong focus on advancing gender equality and preventing gender-based violence in communities.

Strengthening Education Systems

Our education programs provide quality education to both in-school and out-of-school children, addressing contemporary challenges through innovative approaches and knowledge-based solutions.

Youth Leadership and Empowerment

We equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to secure desired professions, take on leadership roles, and become champions for change in their communities.

Enhancing Health and Reproductive Services

We work to increase access to quality family planning, HIV/AIDS counselling and testing, reproductive health services, and maternal healthcare, partnering with government agencies and UN organizations.

Combating Malnutrition

Our programs focus on reducing malnutrition among children, adolescents, and women through strategies like community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) and maternal, infant nutrition (MIYCN).

About Us

The Foundation for Community Development Initiatives (FCDI) is a reputable nonprofit organization dedicated to improving human capital development, community empowerment, education, health, and livelihood opportunities for marginalized and underserved populations in Nigeria.

Since its registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2006, FCDI has garnered extensive experience in designing and implementing impactful humanitarian interventions and developmental programs in Nigerian communities.

Since its incorporation, FCDI has developed and implemented projects in key humanitarian and development areas in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. FCDI is headquartered in Abuja, with operational offices and presence in Adamawa and Yobe.
